When the Sun Goes Down in Surfers
Surfers Paradise was born out of one word- entertainment. With cultural roots embedded in a beachside destination where generations have come to let their hair down, it still delivers on exceptional levels. As the sun sets on Paradise, the social scene swings into action. Riverside you can enjoy sunset cocktails as the water melts from crystal blue to liquid gold. Thousands of people come to Surfers every night just for it's nightlife. There are over 40 bars, lounges, restaurants, clubs and pubs all alive with entertainment and after dark activities.
In many of these lively venues, you will find a wide variety of live music including some big name acts that perform weekly. With the music scene has being strong in Surfers for over 50 years now, it is a hip spot to go out. Both entertainers and audiences alike know where to go for the amazing nightlife. Chic clubs in Surfers include: Elsewhere a brilliant 70's Disco inspired glamorous club open Friday through Sunday 10pm to 5 am on Cavill Avenue.
The Drink is a multi-story nightclub offering three bars and a mezzanine which overlooks the dance floor. There is something here for everyone and it is open late 9p, to 5am. The Bedroom is another nightclub with upscale furnishings. There are comfortable places to lounge about including beds for ultimate comfort. Opening time is 8pm until 5am for the late night crowds. Both of these establishments are on Orchid Avenue
For modern Asian cuisine, the East Lounge Bar and Dining is a great place to go. The restaurant is located on the lower floor and the upper floors offer dancefloors, luxury bars and exclusive booths and lounges. There are stage shows with amazing performers of acrobatics and atristic talent as well. Swingin Safari is a popular spot for the locals. It is a restaurant bar and emporium. It's on the corner of Thornton and Gold Coast Highway and it has a mix that cannot be defined.
