I am allergic to everything! I was wondering what natural cures people have for bad rashes?

I am literally allergic to most things I touch. And the Sun. I was out this weekend and now I am covered in a full body rash. Not sure it all has to do with the sun since it is in places the sun didn't shine. Was wondering what king of rash soothers are out there that are non-allergenic.

I know someone who developed a sun allergy, and it affected all his skin, not just exposed skin. If that's what you have, you will need medical advice.

I am allergic to lots of things, too.

There is a skin cream called Biafine. It is used by doctors in France, in burn units. I get it either through a friend whose father sends it to us, or when I go to France, but I'm certain you could find it online. It is the absolute BEST treatment I have ever found - works faster, better and longer than any other.

Try to assess the chemicals you are touching. Avoid chemical cleaners. There are many cleaning products that are plant-based and don't create skin reactions. I make my own out of water, Amway's LOC cleaner, and plant essences (tea tree, lavender, eucalyptus, pine needle oil and grapefruit seed extract.) I own a cleaning service, and can promise you that this solution is a great cleaner.

Read the labels on your skin care products. Don't use the standard products. Aveeno is a good commercial brand. Others are usually found in "health markets" and places like that. Jason's is a good brand. Whole Foods stores carry products that are good. Avoid parabens and methylparabens, added perfumes, preservatives and dyes. Castille soap is one I would stay away from - it irritates my skin and eyes, even though it's supposedly "all natural."

If you use makeup, try to stick to a brand like Clinique or Almay, but still be sure to find out the ingredients. Try to eliminate makeup - your skin will thank you for it!

Don't use air freshener sprays.

Find a laundry soap that is pure and natural. Most of them are loaded with irritants, and of course, they leave residue on everything - your sheets, your underwear, your towels - everything! There is a common brand called Seventh Generation which is quite good. If it's not in your local stores, go online, look it up and find the nearest place that sells it. This manufacturer also sells a full line of cleaning products for the whole house, from dish soap to bathroom cleaners.

If these things don't help, you should consult a dermatologist or, better yet, a natural health practitioner, to analyze what you are eating and drinking. Often, skin problems are a result of what we put INTO our bodies, more than from what we expose them to from the outside.
