Sunbeds - how does it all work??!!!!?

hi i have never used a sunbed in all my life and dont have a cue how it all works! I know theyre not good long tern etc but i have party to go to on 20th december and wanna look my best....i have had a professional spray tan in the past but i hated it - it really wasnt good and i'd hate to look awful on the big day! So can anyone explain sunbed etiquette - my local salon have (apparently!) a "40 tube fast tanning sunbed with three facial boosting panels ".....is this good? The sessions are £5 for 5 mins...how many sessions like this would i be liekly to need - i have quite pale skin (not redhead pale - blond pale)...help!!!!!
Erm as i said - i know theyre not a plan longterm but i want useful answers please lol - not just ones telling me the health bumph that i already know ........ actual question answering advice peeps ??????

They blast your body with UV rays which turns your skin brown[or if you go too hard at it RED]

*....Tanning....*Home sunbeds?

I just bought a second hand sunbed (philips home solaria) Its the one that only has one side... the tubes need replacing and was wondering what is the highest wattage tube you can get for them.

And could you please tell me what is the difference between RUVA & UVA, and what are the affects from both, eg. which tans the quickest or best and why?

I live in Ireland and there is no possible way of tanning outside here. the only way is spending thousands on holidays an getting a tan there or getting a sunbed, so which of these do you think i chose...

As far as I know you should only replace the tubes with the same wattage of tubes that are there originally I hope you checked the sunbed out properly as it could be faulty . And the difference of UVB and UVA is the first one UVB produces shorter more potent waves that causes skin cancer , while UVA rays penetrates into the skin more deeply . I am not going to lecture you its your skin if you want to age and be wrinkly at a very early age thats your choice
