Tanning Beds - What type of light?

I have very fair skin and am only able to tan outside when I use a UVB blocker (suntan lotion that only blocks UVB rays from hitting you).

Do tanning beds produce both UVA and UVB rays? Should I be worried about just getting a burn from tanning beds and not tanning at all?

They generally use both UVA aging and UVB burning rays. However, some salons claim to have "special" beds which produce less UVB rays. I too have fair skin, but I was able to tan slightly in taning beds. That was before I took time to really assess the risks invlovled, i.e. skin cancer, early aging. I now use Jergens Natural Glow lotion. It's no tanning bed, and doesn't yeild tanning bed results. However, I think it's worth it to have healthy skin.
