How Do You Chose What Style Of Tights To Wear?

How do you chose what style of dance tights to wear when dancing/performing? I am just asking about the suntan/toast shimmer tights and the matte tights, not so much the black fishnets. I have seen performances where I have thought to myself, "She should have gone with shimmer tights as the matte tights don't work as well as they could." Or vice versa.

Also, why does it seem that the matte style of tights are more popular than the shimmer tights? Seems like a lot of the dance teams have switched over recently and I am just wondering why that is?

If you can enlighten me, I would appreciate it.

I think dancing is as susceptible to fashion trends as anything else; just look at the resurgence in the popularity of leg warmers a few years ago. I think the idea is matte tights are more 'natural' looking than shiny ones, the dancers can kid themselves that it looks like they're not wearing anything to cover up their scabby and bruised legs! I personally (like you) try and match my tights to my costume, I've got spare pairs of both stacked up in my kit bag. As long as the whole team is wearing the same kind I don't think it makes a huge difference, my biggest bugbear is when you see a group and they're all wearing different tights. It looks so unprofessional! Jx

Barbados Spring Break for the Exotic Trip of a Lifetime

       Everyone knows that Barbados is a tropical paradise. Just saying the word “Barbados” conjures up images of white sandy beaches, coconuts, palm trees, clear blue seas, cloudless skies, suntans, tropical drinks, and utter relaxation. People come from all over the world to relax and recharge their batteries on Barbados, soaking up the sunshine and he tranquil vibes of the place.

      During the day, there are plenty of things to do out in the open air. Barbados is the Caribbean's surfing capital, so if you're into watersports you're all set for fantastic fun in the sun! You can also do some sightseeing either in the town or in the caves, which are great fun to explore. And shopping addicts will love the busy shopping districts in Barbados, where you can find everything from quirky handicrafts sold by haggling street vendors, to quality duty free jewelery. There are loads of great malls and shopping centers that are well worth checking out for some good bargains.

      And we can't mention Barbados without mentioning the food, which is always fresh and fine! Try some national dishes like Flying Fish or Pepperpot (a popular pork stew in spicy sauce), and check  out some of the great restaurants serving all sorts of international cuisine that Barbados has to offer. Whatever your tastes, they'll keep you satisfied.
