Is this a good rod for OTG casting and/or pendulum casting. Mitchell Challenge Pro Surf 12ft 3-Piece Rod?

I think it takes 2-5oz weights

im not sure about the rod but i will give some advice on the casting

when doing a pendulum cast you will need a very stiff rod. rods that have a whippy tip will break very easily (know this from experience). also a otg cast wil need a longer rod around (11-14ft) to get the maximum cast. also size,power, and technique is what will get you the maximum distance on a cast.
