Tan Towel Sunscreen

Is this a safe way to tan?

I want to get a tan and i just got done doing what I will call a 15-15. I applied sunscreen SPF 30, 15 minutes before i went outside, got a 15 min tan laying on my back, then applied more sunscreen and laid on my tummy for 15 min more.

So is this an ok method or is there a better way to get a tan in the sun without using any special tanning solution(you know the ones that give you a tan by application).

I'm male, 27 and healthy. I brought out sunglasses, a towel, cold drink, and the sunscreen i am using is called Dry Sport by TopCare and is says very water and sweat resistant.

If this is an ok time frame to get a tan should i wait a few days and tan again or should i do it on a daily basis when its at the right times and of course not raining?

Its not healthy to tan at all. but yes you are doing fine. though your using alot of sunscreen so i dont know if the would get tan by using so much. but if ur getting tan keep doing it and keep using sunscreen so u dont get burnt cause that realy bad. keep on with the procedure it sounds great!

How To Apply Self Tanner

Did you know when it comes to skin care that one in five adults will develop skin cancer in the course of their lifetimes?

If that's not reason enough to slather on the SPF and stay out of the sun, I don't know what is.

But if you still want to sport a sun-kissed glow, take heart. Today's self-tanners offer more options and better formulas than ever for achieving a natural-looking glow without even leaving the house.Some of these tanners also offer protection from the harmful ray of the sun.

Here are five ways you can get the most out of your self-tanner.

Step one: Prep your canvas. You wouldn't put on makeup without first washing and moisturizing your face, right? Think of your body the same way. So prepare your skin for tanning.

Exfoliate skin in the shower, towel dry, and layer on an oil-free moisturizer. Just like with makeup, moisturizer will always help self tanner go on more easily.

Step two: Hop back in the tub! Why worry about getting tanner all over your room when you can apply it standing in your tub or shower? This is especially wise if you plan on using a spray formula.

Step three: Divide and conquer. Be sure to coat the front, back, and sides of each body part. Don't move on from an area until you've covered every possible angle.

Step four: Face it. When it's time to do your face, wrap your hair in a towel. If you're using a lotion or gel, smooth it on in small circles, taking care to blend around your hairline and jaw.
