Not all of them. Unfortunately, tanning products are not regulated by the FDA so many companies make outrageous and fraudulent claims. For example products that claim to be tanning accelerators can actually damage your skin. Why? because no product can actually make you tan faster or keep a tan longer. Think about it. If a product can alter a biological process in the body (melanin production in this case) it would be considered a drug and become regulated by the FDA. Now tanning products are not drugs, are they? The trick that they do which is very bad to your skin is that they include a bronzer (sunless tanning) in the produc, and those can release a tom of free radicals when exposed to UV. Also tingling products are very bad, it produces the so-called tingling by an inflammation process and then then worst thing you can do is to expose an inflammed skin to UV. This is why you see some women with crocodile skin! There are new generation tanning lotions that are designed to minimize and repair UV effects on the skin. One of those is manufactured by a pharmaceutical company called pharmaciana and is called nova defense. It does not really give any false promises of a faster tan or anything like that, but it gives medical references that back its claims about repairing effects so these are genuine products and also made in the US.
