Tanning Sunless Lotion
how to apply sunless tanning lotion?
i have the l'oreal one, and when i applied it last time, i had streaks on my thighs and arms.. and i looked kind of orange. and my skin smelled bad for two days.
any suggestions on how to apply better? or a better brand of sunless tanning lotion? no smells?
and how my joints can look more even? my feet and hands look funny/paler than the rest of my body after the application!
I don't like the gradual stuff b/c it takes too long to show up & it don't last long enough.
i use banana boat summer color & its awesome.
* clean & exfoliate your skin
*make sure you are good & dry before you apply it.
*get some disposable rubber gloves(recommended, bt not required)
*start with a dollop for your leg. apply it like you would any other lotion. rub it in until you feel tht all your leg is covered. Now do the same for the other leg.
if you don't want your knees to be darker than the rest, dab it off with a towel or something. don't wipe it completely off your knee, unless you want white knees. just dab it. same with ankles, elbows, etc.
& if you don't want the bottom of your arms to be splotchy, do the dab thing again. you want SOME color down there, but not as dark as the top.
Let it dry 10 minutes before gettinng dressed. i know the package always says 5, but i wait 5 & it still rubs off at the top of my leg. so just walk around your room or stand in front of a fan until it feels dry. Don't sit either during the 10 minutes.
be careful if you're gonna put it on your face. it can look really good if you rub it in ALL THE WAY. you probably need a nickel-sized amount ofr your face. rub it in like you would foundation. be careful not to touch your face after application.
