Is there a vinyl coating/paint I can use for my convertible top?

I have a 2000 Mazda Miata - there is slight damage to the roof- I used a vinyl repair kit - looks ok. Thinking about repainting my car - but would like the top a different color as well. The current color or the top is tan - would like it black. Do not want to spend alot of money!! Do you know of any products I could use to paint my roof - like a vinyl coating/paint? Ok to retexture too. Any help, and suggestions would be appreciated
