My 2000 Jetta needs help?

I bought it for a little under $5,000 from a buddy.
I've put almost $5,000 in repairs (updated maintenance mainly/tires/brakes/hoses/rotors/timing belt +LABOR+TAX= a lot of damn money)

My car over heated due to lack of water (Damn sensor didn't tell me this)
I need a new motor...

Best motors i can find have about 52,000 miles for (about) $1,500 and most have a 6-12mo warranty.

After labor/tax/ one of my motor choices (and clutch) i'm looking at a rough $2,500

Is this love of my life little 2000 volts jetta 2.0 4 cylinder straight shift worth all this?

You said no bias. So mr mustang guy...yeah. Anyways, like others have mentioned. Since you have been paying others to do the work, then as the other guy pointed out. Heck no it's not worth it. Too bad you have spent so much money in this. What I am wondering is why the car over heated. Whoever did your timing belt job should have put a water pump in there. What a shame. Its a sad and sour loss of all that money, but unless you do the work yourself, it's better than putting more into it. Sorry
