Why are some people obsessed with tan skin?

im a 17 yo male and im cambodian so i was born with a bronze tan, everytime im out and about with friends and there are people who r lighter around, they ask me where do i tan, and i answer back telling them i was born like this, and sum of my friends who rgirls wish they had my skin color, do u think this is wierd?

no it's not wierd dude it's just you might have just have nice skin color and it is working for you they just think you look bvery nice hey people who have tan skin look amazing it kind shows that your skin looks nice and healthy people who have a lightr skin have a higher chance on getting sun burn or even getting skin cancer but hey you should not be weird out about it just be happy that your complomited nicely that what people like about you.
